BJP MP from West Delhi Parvesh Verma has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking to change the date for celebration of Children’s Day from November 14 to December 26, which is martyrdom day for Guru Gobind Singh’s four sons, ‘Chaar Sahibzaade’. He said, ‘The Congress has imposed Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday as ‘Children’s Day’ so why don’t we celebrate his birthday as ‘Chacha Diwas’ and also not celebrate the martyrdom day of ‘Chaar Sahibzaade’, sons of Guru Gobind Singh as Children’s Day. This was such a big sacrifice from their side.’ He added, ‘As of now 60 BJP MPs have signed letter along with others. We will write a letter to the PM.’
